The Many Faces of Windows: Which is Right For You?
Windows is well-known. People have been riding the Microsoft OS train for years, and there is no sign of departing passengers. One might ask, however, if there is one operating system that is better than the other. People that are long-time followers of Windows want to know what is best for them.
There is talk of a Windows 8 beta version, but this is only for those that are interested in testing the new product. The real talk on the street is whether people should stick with Windows XP or upgrade to Windows 7.
Much of this has to do stability and the amount of memory that a certain system has. It is important to find the specs of your system before you even consider an upgrade. Windows 7 will run on 1GB, but users that are expecting it to run smoothly should really have 2GB or more.
Windows 7 is good, but it is still being tested by the masses. It works, but it is not as stable as Windows XP because XP has been around much longer. Developers have had more time to work out the outstanding issues. Companies that are using XP should consider this before upgrading.
